You can order online, or by phone using a debit/credit card, or by post enclosing a cheque.
By far the easiest way is to order from The Game Reserve Store on this site. We use the secure PayPal system. It takes most major credit and debit cards, and you don’t need a PayPal account. It’s quick, easy, and extremely secure for you.

How do I measure my size for half chaps?
The Game Reserve’s half chap sizes are listed in centimetres by calf measurement and length in the tables for each product.

1. First, measure for your calf: measure around the calf circumference at the widest point.
2. Next, measure for length: in a sitting position, measure from just below the back of the knee down to the base of the heel. |

Can I exchange or return goods?
Yes. We want you to be happy and recommend us to friends. If you believe something’s wrong, tell us and we’ll investigate. We’ll try our best to sort things out quickly.
i) Production faults
Every product we despatch is quality-inspected (and digitally recorded) personally by one of The Game Reserve’s principals before it leaves us. In the very unlikely event your new chaps or T-shirt aren’t perfect, we will exchange them within 7 days of delivery or refund your money at no cost to you, subject to the ‘Returning Goods’ conditions below.
ii) Wrong size, different style or change-of-mind
Please measure yourself or prospective wearers for size before you order! If you do find a product is the wrong size, or you wish to change it for a different style, we’ll exchange it within 7 days of delivery subject to the ‘Returning Goods’ conditions below.
If you change your mind, return your unworn product within 7 days of delivery (subject to the ‘Returning Goods’ conditions below) and we’ll refund your money, less the original delivery charge.
Returning your goods
Call or email us first to let us know there’s a problem. All we ask is:
- The goods must be returned within 7 days of delivery. They must reach us ‘as new’ i.e. pristine, unworn apart from checking for fit, not cleaned and with any original packaging.
- Enclose your purchase receipt with a note explaining what’s wrong and if you want an exchange or refund. Excepting production fault returns, for all other exchanges please enclose a cheque payment to cover the cost of redelivery and packaging as below:

Use recorded delivery and consider taking out insurance – we won’t be responsible for any postal losses. For UK production fault returns only, we will refund standard 1st or 2nd class recorded delivery postage, so please also enclose a copy of your Royal Mail receipt. For EU and worldwide production fault returns, please call to agree the carriage method you will use first.

How do I care for my Zebra, Leopard, Cheetah, Tiger and Giraffe half chaps?
Zebra, Leopard and Cheetah chaps are made from Amara synthetic (faux) suede which is a tough, supple synthetic microfibre fabric. It looks and feels like real suede.
Giraffe and Tiger chaps are made from Amara synthetic (faux) suede and edged with a velvety synthetic suede. Again these fabrics are tough, yet supple whilst retaining the look and feel of real suede.
Latest care instructions October 07
1) Light cleaning method, all styles
If your half chaps just need a quick clean, we recommend you lightly remove any dry mud with a soft brush. If necessary, you may gently spot clean using a clean, slightly damp sponge (COLD water only, NO detergents or cleaners).
Lay flat and allow to dry naturally
Don’t scrub, machine wash, bleach, tumble dry, or iron.
Don’t leave half chaps in contact with other clothing, fabrics or material if damp.
2) Cleaning soiled Leopard, Zebra and Cheetah half chaps
We recommend the following two types of foaming fabric cleaning products only for cleaning soiled Leopard, Zebra and Cheetah half chaps.
• Autocare Fabric Clean: available from Waitrose
• Ambersil Auto Groom: available from Halfords or check www.ambersil.com for list of stockists.
To clean a Leopard, Zebra or Cheetah animal print panel:
• Always clean both chaps at the same time
• Lay chaps out flat
• Spray area that requires cleaning and leave for 1-2 minutes
• With a clean white cloth rub lighter areas until clean. For Zebras wipe along white stripes first
• Once light areas are clean gently wipe over black/brown spots. For Zebras wipe gently along black stripes
• For zip cover and all other edging wipe over with a clean, cold, damp sponge
• Allow to dry naturally away from other clothing
3) Machine washing soiled Giraffe and Tiger chap styles
With care, our new Giraffe and Tiger chaps ONLY are now also machine washable:
• Wash one pair of giraffe or tiger chaps at a time (do not wash with other clothing).
• Machine wash in COLD water ONLY, on the Delicates/Special Treatments setting of your washing machine with a mild, non-biological washing powder or liquid. (We recommend half a capful of Sainsbury’s Colour Care Perform Liquid Gel).
• Don’t use detergent containing bleach (either regular chlorine or non-chlorine) or fading will occur.
• Always wash both legs in the pair – don’t wash just one.
• Short spin, do not wring.
• Don’t scrub, bleach, tumble dry, or iron. Allow to dry naturally.

Are my Amara chaps completely colour-fast?
Like any dyed Amara product, the dyeing process used in manufacture is as colour-fast as possible. Please be aware, however, that some trace of colour could, potentially, transfer to another garment worn underneath (e.g. jodhpurs) if chaps get damp. Washing an affected garment should remove any marks. The Game Reserve cannot accept responsibility for any consequential damage or loss as a result of wearing our products, however caused.

How do I care for my T-shirt?
Our original T shirt designs are professionally screen printed front and reverse on Fruit of the Loom Lady-fit, 100% Cotton and Belcoro™ Yarn for a softer feel. Selected for long lasting quality, they can be safely machine washed by following the instructions on the T-shirt label.
